Pedigree
“Brawley”, as I named him from the movie RANSOM, was the second show quality akita I
purchased but my first true “show dog”. I saw his littermate sister from the first
breeding at a georgia dog show. I asked who the breeder was and tracked him down to
a then small kennel in Canada. I inquired as to when, or if, he would repeat that
breeding and if I could have pick male pup. As heaven would have it, I was the only
person who had shown interested in the litter and the pick male was available. He said
he had already repeated the Tuffy X Crystal breeding and the pups were 10 days old.
Throughout the litter's growth, I received videos and pictures of the pups, sire, dam,
grandsire,and granddam.
When Brawley was 9 weeks old, he arrived in Atlanta barking with excitement and anticipation
of what was to come. He lept out of the crate and straight into my heart. From that
moment he allowed me to tag along on his adventures in puppy matches on up to pointed
dog shows and eventually his american championship. I could have only imagined what the
sport of dog showing could have been like if Brawley had not taken the two of us to the
group ring and a ranking of Number 5 in the country; owner-handled. We made it to Madison
Square Garden for the “Westminister Kennel Club” dog show and as usual you had a great time.
I hope it was as great an experience for you as it was for me. I pray that were ever you
are right now everyday continues to be filled with excitement and anticipation of whats to
come. You're a big boy now, but you’ll always be my baby!
Love, Mom
