New Champion
Ikaika, which is Hawaiian for “strong and powerful”, is one of
two boys I kept out of my second homebred litter out of Brawley. He is the result
of my first successful attempt at perfecting my headpiece by bringing in more
breed type.
His short back, moderate angulation, abundance of rib spring, bone
substance, and tight tail make him the most complete blend of his sire and dam’s pedigrees.
The bulk of which can be attributed to his mother U-nik’s Face of an Angel. Angelface
is a double Raiden great-granddaughter off the last producing Raiden son “Sonny” owned
by Pam Glave of Iimari Akitas. Raiden, of course, was one of Sachmo’s sons.
Angelface’s contributions along with Brawley’s rock solid front
and rear have given us a fantastic start as breeders of group winning, Best In
Show akitas.
